Cops seize P240-K marijuana in Pampanga

CITY of San Fernando, Pampanga -- Police confiscated P240,000 worth of dried marijuana bricks during a recent anti-illegal drugs operation in Bgy. Santa Monica, San Simon town.

Senior Supt. Nicolas Salvador, acting Pampanga police director, said the operation also resulted in the arrest of three suspects, identified as Christian Angelo Caluag, 24, of City of San Fernando; Kenneth France Ladion, 25, of Calumpit, Bulacan; and Marc Rene Miranda, 31, of Imus, Cavite.

The operation was conducted after a series of surveillance operations by the police.

Poseur-buyers were able to buy a roll of dried marijuana leaves for P1,000 from the suspects before they were arrested.

Police also found 15 rolls and two bricks of marijuana estimated to be worth P240,000 from the suspects’ vehicle.

They suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
