LUCENA CITY— A suspected pusher who allegedly resisted arrest was killed in another shootout with police operatives conducting drug buy bust at Purok Trade, Bgy. Ibabang Iyam, here, on Tuesday.
Quezon police director, Col. Audie Madrideo, identified the slain suspect as Pablito Asero Cerion Jr., alias Bulan, 34, driver and resident of said village.
Madrideo said Cerion has been included in the drugs watch list of the city police and has a pending homicide case.
Quoting reports submitted by City police director Lt. Col. Reydante Ariza, Madrideo said the incident transpired at exactly 10 p.m. while the operatives were conducting drug bust targetting Cerion.
“After the operatives were able to buy some 0.28 grams of suspected shabu from Cerion using a marked P500 bill, the poseur buyer introduced himself as a cop and tried to have him arrested but the suspect managed to run away”, said Madrideo.
He said while the suspect was about to get inside his house he pulled out and a cal. 38 revolver and opened fire at the pursuing cop but the latter managed to take cover.
The other cops quickly fired back hitting the suspect who died instantly.
Elements of Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office who processed the crime scene recovered from the suspect a gray coin purse with 6 small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 1.68 grams of shabu with street value of P3,024.00.
