A couple and 10 others involved in illegal drugs were arrested by Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and police operatives in separate anti-drug operations in Laguna, the other day.
In a report submitted to Laguna police director Senior Supt. Kirby John Brion Kraft by Chief Insp. Jojo Sabeniano, acting police chief of Bay, those arrested were identified as couple Emilio Juinio, 49, and his wife Evalyn, 50, both of Purok 2, Bgy. Masaya; Rowell Arboleda, 27, of Purok 2, Bgy. Dila, and Gil Perez, 40, of Daang Bakal, Bgy. Maiitim, all in Bay.
According to Chief Inspector Sabeniano, the four suspects were listed on the drug watchlist of the police and nearby barangays for drug pushing.
Recovered from the couple were a total of 0.20 gram of shabu and the marked money.
Police seized from Arboleda four small plastic sachets of shabu and P200 in marked money while Perez yielded two small transparent plastic sachets of shabu.
Charges for violation of Section 5 and 11 Article 2 of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
Reports from Camp Brig. Gen. Paciano Rizal, Sta. Cruz, Laguna, said eight drug personalities were arrested in the province as policemen continue with their day to day operations against illegal drugs last Saturday.
Senior Supt. Kraft identified those arrested as Jarwin Belanguel, of Sitio Lawa, Bgy. Canlalay; Pepito Belangel, Abraham Diaz, 38, of Purok 2, Bgy. Nueva, San Pedro City; Raymond Montilla, 32 of Bgy. Sto. Tomas, Sta. Maria, Bulacan; Amelito Motociño, 28, of 47 Katihan St., Bgy. Poblacion, Muntinlupa City, and a minor.
Kratf said the five suspects were arrested in Sitio Lawa, Bgy. Canlalay after selling a sachet of shabu. The suspects also yielded 10 more sachets of shabu and the marked money.
In Sta. Rosa City, drug suspect Federico Manintin Haron, 59, of Purok 6, Bgy. Aplaya, Santa Rosa, yielded at 7 a.m. nine sachets of shabu during a drug deal at Purok 6.
Likewise in San Pedro City, Richard Cosca, 39, of Phase 1, Bgy. Pacita 2, San Pedro City was arrested for possession of three sachets of shabu at 1:55 a.m. by policemen led by Insp. Nonelon L. Sabiga.
