LUCENA CITY — Police operatives yesterday arrested a pistol-armed crime suspect in a buy bust in Purok Bagong Buhay, Bgy Ibabang Talim in this city.

Quezon police director Col. Ericson Dilag said Joey Paderon, alias Burdado, 32, of Purok Ipil-Ipil, Bgy. Isabang, did not resist when collared by undercover cops who acted as poseur buyers.

Dilag said Paderon yielded 10 small platic sachets containing 6.60 grams of suspected shabu with a street value of P134,640, a loaded cal. 45 pistol with no serial number and a marked P500 bill.

He said Paderon has been under tight watch by City Drug Enforcement Unit of Lucena City police station under Lt. Col. Romulo Albacea.

In a phone interview, Albacea said in June 2015, Paderon was arrested on the strength of four arrest warrants for murder, physical injury, grave threats and drug pushing.

Albacea said the first three cases were eventually dismissed as Paderon managed to settle them amicably with the complainants.

In the drug charges, Albacea said Paderon was ordered released as he availed of the government’s plea bargain agreement.
