Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-3 seizes drugs, guns, ammo from crime groups

CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- Operatives under the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Region 3 arrested the other day three persons who yielded long and short firearms and ammunition.

Senior Supt. Christopher Abrahano, CIDG-3 regional chief, said the operations against criminal groups were conducted in Angeles City, Nueva Ecija and Olongapo City.

In Bgy. Cutucut, Angeles City, one Jose Carreon was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Irin Zenaida Buan, of the Regional Trial Court Branch 56, for robbery with violence and intimidation and carnapping.

Senior Insp. Arvin Hosmillo, CIDG-Angeles City head, said two sachets of shabu were confiscated from Carreon, alleged leader of the Carreon Criminal Gang involved in robbery and carnapping operation.

In Cabiao, Nueva Ecija, one Rhodora Balagtas, 42, was arrested during the serving of a search warrant issued by Judge Ana Marie Joson-Viterbo of the Cabanatuan City RTC Branch 24 for violation of Republic Act 10591, for illegal possession of firearm.

Abrahano said Balagtas is the live-in partner of one “Ka Radik”, of Arayat, Pampanga, and member of the Aguinaldo Criminal Group involved in gun-for-hire, gunrunning and series of killings in Arayat.

Seized from the suspect’s possession were a Ruger cal. .380 Magnum with six live ammunition.

In Olongapo City, one Robert Abadam, 53, was arrested after a search warrant issued by Judge Roline Ginez-Jabalde of Olongapo RTC Branch 74 was served against him for violation of RA 10591.

Confiscated from him were a 12-gauge shotgun and 70 live ammunition for the firearm.

CIDG listed the suspect as a member of the Gonzales Criminal Gang based on information reference CIDGOLO-10-04-18-001.
