POLICE Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas yesterday announced the arrest of at least 28 suspected drug personalities in Central Visayas following a series of massive anti-criminality operations which resulted in the seizure of nearly P4 million worth of shabu this week.
In a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Oscar D. Albayalde, the official said that 24 of the suspects were arrested by members of the Cebu City Police Office headed by Colonel Gemma Vinluan during their conduct of so-called ‘One-Time, Big-Time’ operations in the city last Tuesday to Wednesday.
Recovered from the suspects were 460 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some 573 grams of shabu valued at P3.9 million, the marked money paid to the suspects by undercover officers and various drug paraphernalia.
In Talisay City in Cebu, local policemen headed by Major Orlando Carag Jr. arrested Cebu City residents Mark Anthony Pacres,35; Adonis Ortega,29; Justin Cabaluna,22; and Archie Lozano,32; during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Laray in Bgy. San Roque past 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Cebu Police Provincial Office director, Col. Roderick Mariano said that Pacres and Ortega are both included in the watch list of the local police while the two others are newly-identified drug personalities.
