CV cops jail 3 over loose guns

THREE men were hauled to jail by agents of the Police Regional Office 2 in separate anti-illegal gun operations in the region on Monday, a report to PRO2 director, Brigadier General Jose Mario M. Espino said.

One of the suspects identified as Nestor Dulnuan, a 52-year old chairman of Barangay Alicia in Aglipay, Quirino was arrested after policemen who raided his house in Purok 7 at around 7:20 a.m. Monday recovered a home-made caliber .38 pistol.

The second identified as Marlon Dulnuan, a 34-year-old suspected member of the Nabayyag Criminal Group operating in Quirino and Nueva Vizcaya provinces were arrested in another raid in Purok 4 in Bgy. Alicia 10 minutes later.

The raiders recovered one cal. .38 revolver with four live ammunition and a fragmentation grenade inside  the suspect’s residence.

The third suspect identified as Marlon’s father Herminio, 58, a resident of Sitio Tapsoy in Bgy. Alicia was not around when policemen raided his house and recovered one home-made cal. .38 revolver with six live ammunition.

All suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013, said PRO3 officer-in-charge, Brig. Gen. John Cornelius Jambora.
