Drug dealer shot dead in clash with Bulacan cops

A SUSPECTED drug dealer in Meycauayan City, Bulacan was killed in a gunbattle with undercover officers early morning yesterday, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Emma M. Libunao said.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Rhodel O. Sermonia, the official identified the slain suspect as Christian Encabo alias’ Balawis,’ a resident of LGP, Barangay Malahacan in Meycauayan City.

The Bulacan police director said the suspect had just sold a packet of shabu to an undercover agent of the Meycauayan City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit in Upper Northernhills, Bgy. Malhacan when he sensed the ongoing entrapment operation at 2:30 a.m. yesterday and started firing at the officers.

Back-up operatives returned fire killing the suspect who yielded  10 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one caliber .38 revolver with three live ammunition and a spent casing and the marked money paid to him by the poseur.

Libunao also announced the arrest of Marie Aguas, 21 and Ronaldo Divero,51, both residents of Bgy. San Rafael 4 in San Jose del Monte City after they conspired to sell shabu to an undercover operative in Block 1, Lot 43, Phase 2 of the same barangay 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Recovered from the suspects’ possession were 11 plastic sachets  containing shabu and the by-bust money.
