SEPARATE anti-narcotics operations conducted by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Central Visayas resulted in the discovery of a secret drug den and the arrest of 11 suspects including the drug dive operators, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino said yesterday.
The official identified the arrested suspects as Jeymarie Jayme alias ‘Jai-Jai,’ a suspected member of a drug trafficking syndicate operating in Negros Oriental, suspected drug den maintainers Necel Maxilom,Teresita Flores and Marilyn Cuervo; and their cohorts Jeffrey Damayo, Alberto Pasculado, Nonar Baculi, Juanito Baranggan Jr., Wilbert Tacoloy and Jun Jun Rebamonte.
According to Aquino, members of the PDEA Regional Office 7 and the local police arrested Jayme and Maxilom during a buy-bust operation in Purok Matinabang, Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental which led in the confiscation of eight heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing some 10 grams of suspected shabu worth P68,000 and the marked money they received from a poseur.
Another entrapment operation inside a lodge in Borromeo Street corner Leon Kilat Street in Bgy. Kalubihan, Cebu City resulted in the arrest of the other suspects.
