Drug pusher slain, 3 cohorts held

A DRUG pusher was killed while three of his companions were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday evening in Imus City, Cavite.

Police investigators identified the slain suspect as Richard Kapitanan alias Richard, 25, resident of Del Rosario Compound, Bgy. Buhay na Tubig, Imus City who was considered as a ‘HVT’ or high value target.

Arrested were Edlyn Jewell Brazos of Santos Village, Zapote, Las Pinas City; John Carlo Carino, 25, and Marc Edward Dela Cruz, 37, of No. 1 Saint Peter St., Perpetual, Pulang Lupa, Las Piñas City.

Policemen recovered 250 grams of shabu, shabu paraphernalia, a Hyundai car and a cal. .9mm pistol.

Policemen conducted the operation inside the car of Kapitanan.  The suspect agreed to sell a sachet of shabu to the poseur but when he sensed that he was dealing with a cop, he tried to grab the buyer’s gun.  The suspect and the cop scuffled for the gun when it fired, hitting Kapitanan and his companion Edlyn.

Kapitanan died while being treated while Brazos is now in stable condition.

The police also found 46 grams of shabu in a small sachet and marked money.

In another buy-bust operation, the police nabbed two drug suspects where 50 grams of shabu were confiscated.  
The suspects were identified as Joem Mark Villalon, 25, of Bgt F. Molino 1, and Ferdie Torres, 23, both of Bayanan , Bacoor City, Cavite.
