ANGELES CITY -- A suspected drug trader was killed in a shootout while three other suspects were arrested in a continuing anti-illegal drugs operation in this city last Jan. 10 and 11.
Sr. Supt. Christopher Abrahano, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Region 3 chief, said that the slainsuspect was identified only as alias “Min So” and alias “Muslim” who was gunned down after he decided to shoot it out with the police in Villa Rosario, Barangay Pampang around 1 a.m. the other day.
Recovered from the suspect were a cal. .38 Armscor with two cartridge case and some 60 grams of shabu.
The suspect was killed in a follow-up operation after three other suspected pushers were arrested at the Korean Town in Barangay Anunas here last Jan. 10 in entrapment operation at SM City Clark in Barangay Balibago here against “Min So” and a certain “Nash” regarding the delivery of large quantity of illegal drugs.
But the suspects sensed the presence of the police.
One suspect fled on board a Mitsubishi Expander and was able to escape while “Min So” boarded a motorcycle and fled. He was chased by police operatives and allegedly fought back until he was gunned down.
Around 1:30 p.m. last Jan. 10, CIDG and city policemen arrested one Raeriel Arthur Escanillas, Reed Mercado, and Jemuel Datu along Korean Town here.
Seized from them were 112 grams of shabu with street value of around P761,000.

The arrested suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165.
