Drug trafficker slain in Cabanatuan amid GCQ

CABANATUAN CITY - Exactly two hours after the general community quarantine took effect due to the COVID-19 pandemic, an armed drug trafficker was killed after figuring in a gunfight during a buy-bust operation conducted before dawn on Monday here.

Killed during the anti-drug operation was Einnor Castro, of Purok 4, Bgy. San Isidro, this city.

City police head Lt. Col. Arnel M. Dial said his men led by Major Domingo Resma Jr. neutralized the suspect after the latter resisted arrest and fired his gun during a drug sting conducted in Bgy. San Isidro at 2 a.m.

Police Information chief Major Jackie Gahid said Resma's men were forced to fire back, hitting the suspect, which resulted in his instantaneous death.

She said probers recovered from the encounter site the suspect's homemade Cal.45, and his Yamaha Sniper motorcycle, 13 plastic sachets containing shabu, buy bust money worth P1,000 that was used in the operation, and five spent bullets for cal.9mm and two for cal.45.
