Drunk brandishes gun in Bukidnon, nabbed

A 48-YEAR-old farmer who brandished his gun while under the influence of liquor  scaring his neighbors in Maramag, Bukidnon was arrested by the local police  on Monday morning.

Suspect Teodoro Belarmino, a resident of Purok 10, Base Camp, Maramag municipality, is now facing a criminal case for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulations Act of 2013.

An investigation showed that the suspect was already drunk when he pulled out a revolver from his waistline and pointed it upwards causing people in the area to scamper for safety at 7 a.m. Monday.

Responding policemen arrested the suspect who yielded a caliber .357 revolver  with a misfired bullet, said a report to Police Regional Office 10 director, Brigadier General Rolando B. Anduyan.

Over in Taytay, Rizal a man was shot and critically wounded over his P6,000 debt on gambling game early yesterday morning.

Police identified the victim as Ronel Cantuba of Bgy. Sta. Ana. He suffered several gunshot wounds and was brought to an undisclosed hospital where he’s being treated.

The suspect was with another companion whose name was withheld pending his arrest. The suspect waited for the victim in a dark portion of the street at 12:11 a.m. and confronted him on his debt. The suspect pulled an unknown cal. of handgun and shot him several times.
