A MAN was stabbed dead while sitting on a wooden chair in front of his house by a drunk suspect who slashed his wrist after the incident in Tanauan City, police reported Saturday.
Tanauan City detectives identified the victim as Robert Sebastian, a resident of Bgy. Daraza, Tanauan while the suspect was identified as Joy Albaytar.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was sitting in front of his house at 4:30 p.m. when suddenly the suspect, armed with a knife and under the influence of liquor, arrived and without any apparent reason stabbed the victim several times in different parts of the body.
After committing the crime, the suspect quickly slashed his right wrist using the same weapon.
Friends of the suspect and the victim arrived at the scene and they rushed Sebastian to Daniel Mercado Hospital but he died while undergoing medical treatment.
