Ecija cops nab 11 wanted felons

CABANATUAN CITY — The Nueva Ecija police arrested 11 wanted felons including the two topmost wanted persons in the province during intensified Oplan Charlie manhunt operations conducted on Thursday, it was reported yesterday.

Provincial police director Col. Marvin Joe C. Saro said the arrests were made as he reiterated the call of Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon to encourage the citizenry to be the eyes and ears of the police in bringing these most wanted criminals to the bars of justice.

Saro identified those two arrested top MWP as Francel Diaz, 21, of Bgy. Ibabao-bana, this city; and Renato Santos, 33, of Bgy. San Fabian, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.

Diaz, ranked number two in the Cabanatuan City police’s wanted list, was collared by virtue of a standing arrest warrant for carnapping with a recommended bail of P300,000 while the arrest of Santos, who is Sto. Domingo town’s number 4 MWP, was implemented after serving him an arrest warrant for 17 counts of qualified theft with a recommended bail of P520,000.

Saro identified the other nine arrested ordinary wanted persons as Edwin Roque, 42, single, of Bgy. Aduas Norte, Cabanatuan City, accused for robbery with physical injuries, with recommended bail of P200,000.Julius Jumaquio, 40, OFW, of Bgy. Putlod, Jaen, for violation of Sec.5 (a), RA 9262, with recommended bail of P12,000. Diana Grace Eugenio, 30, single, of Bgy. Mabini, Sto. Domingo; for estafa, with recommended bail of P18,000. Cristina Mendoza, 31, single, of Bgy. Lennec, Guimba, for estafa, with recommended bail of P18,000.

Jonathan Macaltao, alias Atan,29, of Bgy. Bantug, Sitio Icu, Roxas, Isabela, for qualified rape in relation to RA 7610, with no bail recommended; Cynthia Embuscado, 52, businesswoman and Aiqueen Ramirez, 30, housewife, both of Bgy. Sto. Rosario Young, Zaragoza Nueva Ecija, accused for libel, with recommended bail of P30,000; Eldie Quijano, 41, of Bgy. Ilog Baliwag, Quezon, accused for violation of Sec. 77 of P.D. 705 as amended by R.A. 7161, with recommended bail of P36,000. and Celso Pangilinan, for violation of section 10(a) of RA 7610, with recommended bail of P 80,000.
