Elderly couple found butchered in CamSur home

JOSE, Camarines Sur – Police are  investigating the brutal murder of an elderly couple who were found stabbed dead in their house in Bgy. Quenalansan, this town.

Eddie Balcueva, 83, and wife Nelly, 86, of Zone 1, Quenalansan, were found with multiple stab wounds.

The couple were both retired teachers.

The bodies of the victims were already in a state of decomposition when discovered on Wednesday by their daughter Evelita.

Evelita was visiting her parents when she was shocked to find them dead.

The assailants also ransacked the house of the Balcuevas.

The town police said they already have persons of interest in the brutal twin slaying but refused to elaborate as investigation is underway.

Probers said the suspects entered through the back door and once inside took the victims’ cash.

Police suspected the victims knew the identities of their assailants which led to the brutal slaying.

The children of the Balcueva’s said before their parents were killed, the couple were engaged in small business and usually kept the money in the house.
