SAN JOSE CITY – A home-made gun was found dumped in a vacant lot near a cable TV shop in this city on Monday.
Police said the recovered firearm described as a home-made Cal. 38 revolver with a lone bullet inside its chamber was found by Ronaldo Mejia, 55, of Bgy. Bacal 3, Talavera, caretaker of R.A. Omega Cable TV while clearing the garbage in said vacant lot at 6:30 a.m.
City pólice head Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno said Mejia was about to throw the trash when he noticed a plastic bag containing the said gun dumped in the area.
Mejia then immediately informed his manager Adrian Adriano, 40, of Bgy. Poblacion East, Science City of Muñoz, who promptly reported the said incident to the authorities.
Bruno said an ocular inspection was immediately conducted in the area while the recovered firearm was turned over to the provincial crime laboratory for ballistics examination.
