SAN JOSE CITY -- The house of an incumbent barangay chairman in this city was peppered with bullets by four unidentified motorcycle-riding men shortly after midnight last Monday.
Strafed was the house of barangay chairman Roy Valencia, in Zone 2, Bgy. Manicla at around 1:25 a.m.
Also hit by the strafing was his Sports Utility Vehicle -- a white Mitsubishi Montero Sport with conduction sticker number B2T315.
As per their investigation, Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno, city police head said four unidentified men riding two separate Yamaha Mio motorcycles suddenly arrived and shot several times the barangay official’s house.
Bruno said no casualties nor injured were reported in the shooting.
Recovered at the crime scene were 24 fired cartridge cases for cal.9mm pistol and a deformed slug.
Bruno said they are still investigating the incident.
