Korean, Filipino found dead in Angeles City

ANGELES City -- A Korean man was found dead inside his hotel room while a Filipino was found lifeless inside a house here on Thursday.

Police Maj. Rolando Doroja, of police station 4 here, said Korean as Kwon Jaeyoung, temporarily staying at Room 217 of Century Hotel located inside the Casino Filipino compound in Barangay Balibago, was found found hanging in the bathroom with a belt tied around his neck.

The victim’s death was discovered after two Korean nationals came to the hotel to visit the victim. When they they knocked on the door several times, nobody responded prompting them to seek the manager’s assistance in opening the room.

Members of the Scene of Crime Operatives said they did not find any sign of foul play.

Meanwhile, on Santos Street, Barangay Balibago, the lifeless body of Reynaldo Marquez, 49, was found inside his room. The house’s caretaker found Marquez’s body and reported it to the police.

Investigators were still looking if there is foul play in Marquez’ death or he could have suffered from heart attack or stroke.

On the other hand, policemen arrested a motorcycle-riding man who ignored a checkpoint and yielded 10 pieces of plastic sachets of suspected shabu.

Dexter Lucas Tanola, 18, was on a motorcycle when flagged down by policemen for not wearing a helmet. But instead of stopping, he zoomed away, prompting lawmen to give chase.

When Tanola was cornered and frisked, the cops found in him the sachets of shabu.
