Lucena City zero COVID-19 for 2nd time

LUCENA CITY-- This city was declared cleared of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases for the second time as the remaining three infected patients finally recovered yesterday.

In its 8  a.m. bulletin, the Quezon Public Information Office announced that all the 66 cases in this capital city of Quezon province have already recuperated.

It also announced the recovery of two infected patients from the towns of Pagbilao and Gen. Luna.

The province currently has a total of 155 confirmed cases with 27 recoveries, 17 still confined and 11 fatalities.

Mayor Roderick Alcala expressed gratitude anew to city health officials and to medical staff of Quezon Medical Center where the patients recuperated.

Alcala said the city government remains COVID-19 ready.

On June 19,  all the first 29 confirmed cases have recovered and the city was declared zero- COVID- 19.

A few days later, new confirmed cases were recorded.
