SAN JOSE CITY – A frustrated murder incident took place here when a 55-year-old man hacked with a bolo another man after they figured in a previous altercation on Saturday afternoon here.
City police head Lt. Col. Heryl Bruno identified the wounded victim as Marcelino Noque, of Zone 7, Bgy. Sto. NiHo 3rd, who sustained several hack wounds in different parts of the body and was taken to the San Jose City General Hospital.
Bruno said the victim got embroiled in a verbal tussle with his neighbor-suspect Danilo Santos, 55, prior to the hacking incident which occurred at 12:05 p.m.
During the said altercation, the two were pacified by their neighbors.
However, a few minutes later, when the victim was on his way home aboard his tricycle, the suspect, armed with a bolo blocked his path and suddenly hacked him several times in the body before escaping on board a red Honda Wave motorcycle with the alleged help of his brother Armando Santos, who also lives in the same barangay.
Bruno said he already ordered a manhunt operation against the suspect, who was slapped with a case of frustrated murder before the city prosecutor’s office here.
