A 29-YEAR-old electrician wanted for multiple rape in Negros Oriental was arrested by the local police in a manhunt operation in Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental this week, Police Regional Office 7 director, Chief Superintendent Debold M. Sinas said yesterday.
Charlemagne Caballes, a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental was tracked down in his hiding place in Bgy. Cabacucan in Moises Padilla town by members of the Vallehermoso Municipal Police Station led by Senior Inspector Louie Batuto and arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for eight counts of rape issued by Judge Mario Trinidad of the Gulhungan City Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Negros Oriental, the Central Visayas police director said.
Sinas said that his men were supported by agents of the local Criminal Investigation and Detection Group led by Senior Police Officer 3 Ramiro Gocotano in arresting the suspect who was identified as the no. 1 most wanted person in Vallerhermoso prior to his arrest.
