A MEMBER of the Manila Police District Station 7 on Sunday was arrested for shooting dead a neighbor over a road argument in Bacoor City, Cavite.
Bacoor police chief Lt. Col. Vicente Cabatingan identified the victim as Ferdinand Sanchez, 49, of Blk. 2, Lot 16, Wood Starbend St., Rosewood Village, Bgy. Niog 2, Bacoor City.
Arrested was Police Senior Master Sergeant Herbert Salazar, a resident of the same village.
Sanchez, who was driving a car on way home, had a heated argument with the suspect who was then having drinks with Edmond Santos on the village’s street.
The verbal tussle led to a fistfight until the overpowered victim ran to his house but was chased by the suspect and his friends.
Salazar shot the suspect repeatedly using a cal. 9mm gun.
Recovered at the crime scene were five fired cartridge cases and one deformed bullet.
Responding policemen arrested the police officer.
