A STILL unidentified gunman shot and wounded the chief security officer of the Camarines Sur provincial capitol during an attack early evening Thursday, a Police Regional Office 5 report said yesterday.

PRO5 director, Brigadier General Arnel B. Escobal, said that he has ordered a massive hunt for the suspect who shot 50-year old Jose Francisco Musa in front of his residence at Block 23, Lot 16, Deca Homes, Grandvale 1 in Barangay San Felipe, Naga City at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Escobal said that Musa was also a former jail warden of Tinangis Penal Farm in  Pili, Camarines Sur.

An initial investigation showed that the gunman took advantage of a power interruption in the area to carry out the attack. Witnesses said that the victim was sitting in front of his residence when he was shot thrice by the suspect who was described to be about ‘5’7” to 5’8” in height, chubby and wearing a black jacket and a pair of ‘maong’ pants.

The shooter casually walked away from the scene and escaped on board an unknown vehicle which passed thru the gate of the subdivision.

The victim was rushed to the Mother Seton Hospital by his wife.
