TO enhance the readiness and interoperability to respond to the call of service in times of national emergency situations and disasters between regular and reserve force, the Philippine Navy (PN) launched a unilateral exercise dubbed “Exercise Pagsasama 2018” in Eastern Mindanao.
The exercise was launched through the Naval Forces Eastern Minda-nao (NFEM), in coordination with Naval Reserve Center-Eastern Mindanao (NRC-EM), participated in by the Philippine Navy reservists in Regions 10, 11, 12 and CARAGA.
The activity started with an opening ceremony at SAFI Compound Covered Court in Bgy. Tambler, headed by Commodore Ramil Roberto B. Enriquez, commander, Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao.
Participants in the exercise will integrate with regular troops in the conduct of naval operations, specifically maritime security operations, naval gunfire support operations, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) and Civic Action Program activities.
The exercise will end on Nov. 17, 2018 with a closing ceremony aboard BRP TARLAC (LD-601) to be presided by Vice Admiral Robert A. Empedrad AFP, Flag-Officer-In-Command, PN.
