Online sextortionist nabbed in Bulacan

A 20-YEAR-old resident of Bulacan who allegedly extorts money from victims of his online sex activities was arrested in an entrapment the other day.

Police Regional Office 3 director Brigadier General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel said suspect Julius Angelo Mondragon, a “notorious online scammer” was nabbed during a sting in Bgy. San Jose, Bulakan, Bulacan, said Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Chito G. Bersaluna.

The official said  the entrapment was launched following a complaint from the mother of a 16-year-old girl who was convinced by the suspect to send her naked photos on Facebook. After getting photos from the victim, the suspect threatened to upload the images online if she will not give him money.

Bersaluna said suspect managed to extort at least P400,000 worth of jewelry from the victim. The victim told her mother about her ordeal and they decided to seek police help.
