P12.6M marijuana destroyed in Kalinga

KALINGA -- More than P12.6 million worth of marijuana plants were destroyed by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics on the mountaineous area at Loccong, Tinglayan, Kalinga at around 5 a.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2020. 

Col. Davy Vicente M. Limmong, Kalinga Provincial Police Office (KPPO) director said, joint personnel of KPPO (PIB/DEU, Tinglayan MPS), 1503rd RMFB15, PDEA Kalinga, PDEA CAR  discovered and destroyed 63,200 fully grown marijuana plants planted on 7,900 s.qm. lot with DDB value of P12,640,000.

Limmong said the operatives traveled for more than 2 hrs and hikod for almost 4 hours to reach the target. 

No cultivator were arrested by the operating troops during the eradication operation.
