A SUSPECTED ‘high-value’ drug target in Central Visayas and his two cohorts were arrested by undercover officers in a buy-bust operation in Cebu City early morning yesterday which resulted in the seizure of over P1 million worth of shabu, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas said.
The suspects were identified as Brayl John Allosada, a 30-year-old ‘habal-habal’ driver from Sitio A. Lopez, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City; Richard Reyes, 47, a driver residing in M.J. Cuenco Avenue, also in Cebu City; and Angel Pelaez, 32, of Deca Homes, Mandaue City.
Sinas said that Allosada, a known ‘HVT’ in the region and his two companions were placed under arrest shortly after they conspired to sell shabu to a poseur from the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Cebu City Police Station 10 headed by Major Henrix Bancoleta in Sitio Sadlakan in Bgy. Tisa 3 yesterday morning.
Recovered from the trio’s possession were 15 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing 155 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ with a local market value of P1.054 million and the boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill, said Cebu City police director, Colonel Royina Marzan.
The suspects will be facing charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
