The Pampanga capitol offered the other day P300,000 for the capture of a Korean detainee of the Pampanga Provincial Jail (PPJ) who was able to escape despite being guarded by five prison escorts in Tarlac City last Wednesday.
Pampanga Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda said he will give P300,000 to anyone who would give information that will lead to the capture of Park Wang Yeol, 41, who was detained at PPJ since 2016 for cases of murder at the San Fernando Regional Trial Court Branch 47 and illegal possession of firearms at the Tarlac City RTC Branch 64.
A report from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) said that Park, the main suspect in the murder of three other Koreans in Bacolor town here in 2016, was accompanied by five prison guards to the Tarlac City court for arraignment last Wednesday morning.
The court, however, cancelled the arraignment due to the unavailability of the prosecutor.
On their way back to Pampanga at 10 a.m., Park and his escorts stopped by at an eatery.
“At that juncture, the group decided to eat at Julia’s Kambingan, located along McArthur Hi Way, Bgy. San Rafael, Tarlac City. Once inside, the duty escorts went to their table to order foods while the detainee went straight at the comfort room of the establishment. After a few minutes, they discovered that the detainee escaped using the ventilation window of said comfort room,” the PRO3 report said.
Pineda has ordered the suspension and the filing of appropriate charges against prison guards Randy Sibug, Danilo Gonzales, Carlo Layag, Clarito Mendoza, and Danilo Aragon.
Brig. Gen. Joel Napoleon Coronel has ordered a manhunt operation against Park.
