A police marijuana eradication operation in Toledo City in Cebu last Tuesday resulted in the destruction of an estimated P36 million worth of fully-grown cannabis, Police Regional Office 7 director, Brigadier General Debold M. Sinas said yesterday.

The official said that members of the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Cebu Police Provincial Office under Colonel Roderick Mariano found the fully-grown marijuana plants and seedlings planted in a 5-hectare site.

Sinas said officers led by Captain Mikhail Mallorca worked for hours to uproot and destroy some 90,000 pieces of fully-grown marijuana plants in Sitio Carbon in Barangay Pangamihan, Toledo City.
