POLICE on Tuesday night arrested two suspected big-time drug traffickers in Bicol province and seized more than P4 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Naga City.
Suspects Yuner Inda, a 39-year-old resident of Diliman, Quezon City, and Jamaica dela Cruz, 23, of Zone 6, San Francisco, Magarao, Camarines Sur, are facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Police Regional Office 5 director Brig. Gen. Arnel Escobal said the suspects were arrested in an entrapment operation supervised by Naga City Police Office director Col. Felix Servita on J. Miranda Street beside the Civic Center in Balatas, Naga City.
Initially seized from the suspects were one plastic sachet containing an estimated P50,000 worth of shabu and the buy-bust money. A thorough search resulted in the recovery of 31 more plastic sachets, with around 700 grams of the “poor man’s cocaine,” worth P4.3 million.
