CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Regional anti-narcotics operatives confiscated some P5.2 million worth of shabu from five suspected drug personalities along the provincial road in Barangay Cabalantian, Bacolor town here over the weekend.
In a belated report released to the media, it was learned that the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3)-Regional Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation last Saturday night that led to the arrest of Tristan Jay Masocol, Ghay Miranda-Masocol, Aldine Dela Cruz, Reynald Zoleta, and Gerald John Ocampo, all of legal age.
Confiscated from the suspects were the following: One piece large size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, the subject of buy-bust; two pieces large size sachets containing suspected shabu; two pieces medium size plastic sachets containing suspected shabu; and five pieces large knot tied transparent plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing around one kilogram, which were seized from Tristan.
All recovered suspected shabu is weighing more or less 1.1 kilogram, which has a street value of P5.2 million.
Also confiscated were one marked P1,000 and 29 P1,000 boodle money, a camouflage sling bag, a cellphone and the black Mazda 3 sedan the suspects were using.
The suspects are facing charges for violation of Sec. 5, 26 & 11, Art. II of Republic Act 9165.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Joel Napoleon Coronel congratulated the operatives for their successful operation.
“We continue working double time to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region, as we are relentless in our anti-illegal drugs operations,” he said.
