P68K shabu seized from HVTs in Bulacan

THREE ‘high-value individuals’ in Bulacan were arrested by the local police during an anti-narcotics operation in San Jose del Monte City which led to the confiscation of 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000 around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, Bulacan Police Provincial Office director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe reported yesterday.

The arrested suspects were identified as Zosimo de Leon, 66, tricycle driver, Norlito Gulmatico, 37, tricycle driver, and Mary Rose Nabo,24

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) director, Brigadier General Valeriano T. de Leon, the Bulacan police director said the three were arrested in a sting on Block 60, Lot 54, Purok 5 in Barangay Bagong Buhay owned by de Leon.

Cajipe said members of the San Jose del Monte City police led by Major Julis Alvaro and Lieutenant Reynaldo Bayan conducted the entrapment operation.

He said that de Leon and Gulmatico were arrested while conspiring to sell drugs to a poseur while Nabo was collared after yielding two plastic sachets containing shabu when frisked.

Recovered during the operation were the P68,000 worth of drugs and the buy-bust money topped by two marked P1,000 bills.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Cajipe.
