Pampanga drug den dismantled

A notorious drug den in Mexico, Pampanga was smashed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency during an anti-narcotics operation which also led in the arrest of five suspects and the confiscation of some P220,000 worth of shabu, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino announced yesterday.

The PDEA chief said that arrested during the operation  in Paralaya 2 in Barangay Sto. Rosario, Mexico town were brothers Emil and Elmer Quiambao, Russel Tabayag, Jaime dela Rosa and Jeremy Manansala.

Aquino said that Emil Quiambao, a ‘target-listed’ drug personality and the rest of the suspects were arrested during the operation which led in the recovery of some 33 grams of suspected shabu worth P219,000, two heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some P4,000 worth of dried marijuana leaves and the buy-bust money.

The suspects are now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Illegal Drugs), Section 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), Section 7 (Employees and Visitors of a Den), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) and Section 13 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs during Parties, Social Gatherings, or Meetings) under  Article II of Republic Act 9165.
