Patrol cars turned over to 75 bgys in Dasmariñas, Cavite

Dasmariñas City Mayor Elpidio F. “Pidi” Barzaga Jr. on  Saturday led the ceremonial blessing and turnover of 75 Hilux patrol vehicles to 75 barangays and two police mobile to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

“The city government is serious in its efforts to prevent and control crimes, maintain peace and order, and ensure the public safety of Dasmarineño.

“Undoubtedly, it is determined to gear up for a safer Dasmariñas,” Barzaga said during the event held at the Dasmariñas Integrated High School (DIHS) Open Grounds where Father Gabriel Chiniona administered the blessing ceremony.

The turnover was attended by  former Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla, provincial police director Senior Supt. William Segun, police regional director Chief Supt. Edward Carranza, and the city police chief Supt. Nerwin Ricohermoso.

The guests were welcomed by Congresswoman Jenny Austria-Barzaga, Vice Mayor Raul Rex Mangubat, Board Member Rudy Lara, city councilors, barangay officials, Kiko Barzaga, Robin Cantimbuhan, and Glenn Malihan.

The patrol units are all equipped with  high technology features.

The city government allotted at least P83,382,000 for the purchase of the patrol units.

Meanwhile, the mobile outposts will be stationed in city’s strategic areas as determined by the Dasmariñas City police.

On the other hand, the two existing outposts stationed in Waltermart-Dasmariñas and Central Mall-Savemore in Salitran, these will be manned by uniformed city policemen.

“The newly-distributed barangay patrol units and mobile outposts will help improve  law enforcers’ response to crimes and emergencies,” Barzaga said.
