Pawnshop employee faces theft raps for stealing P80K from vault

SAN JOSE CITY – Theft charges were filed against an employee of a local pawnshop in this city after the management conducted an audit and accused him of stealing at least more than P80,000 in cash from its vault last December, police said yesterday.

City police head Supt. Marco Dadez identified the suspect as Welhel Alexander Tomas Jr., a resident of Zone 3, Bgy. Tayabo, and an employee of LG Infante Pawnshop in Bonifacio St., Bgy. Rafael Rueda Sr.
