PDEA agents bust ex-FHM model for dealing Ecstasy

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Wednesday afternoon arrested a 24-year old former model of the now defunct FHM sexy magazine for involvement in the sale of the banned designer drug called Ecstasy and shabu, PDEA Officer-in-Charge, Assistant Secretary Gregorio R. Pimentel announced yesterday.

The official said that suspect Charlene Mecayer alias ‘Cindy’ yielded 11 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing about 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000; three pieces of self-sealing plastic sachets containing an estimated P4,500 worth of Ecstasy; assorted drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money topped by marked P500 bill during the sting.

According to Pimentel, the sexy freelance commercial model was arrested during an entrapment operation conducted by combined operatives of the PDEA Special Enforcement Service, the PDEA Regional Office 4-A and the Taytay Municipal Police Station at Apartmernt No. 2, Lot 15, Block 8, Phase 9, Hickory Street in Greenwoods Executive Village in Barangay Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Another buy-bust operation in front of the Mercury Drug Store along EDSA Malibay, Pasay City at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday led in the arrest of Emily Patanao Dudley, events coordinator.

Pimentel said that members of the PDEA-SES under Director Levi Ortiz seized a knot-tied plastic bag containing around 50 grams of the so-called ‘poor ’man’s cocaine’ worth P340,000, the buy-bust money topped by a marked P500 bill and a mobile phone from the 60-year old suspect’s possession dring the operations which resulted in the confiscation of over P10 million worth of shabu from three suspected ‘high-value targets.’
