CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — More than P8 million worth of shabu was seized by operatives led by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA3) in a drug sting in Blk 6, Lot 44, Camella Pristina Expansion, Barangay Buhay na Tubig, Imus, Cavite last Thursday.
In a report submitted to PDEA Director General Aaron N. Aquino, PDEA3 Director Lyndon P. Aspacio identified the suspects as Ruel O. Borero, 34, male; Johaira A. Abdul, female, 34; and Mila M. Omar, 43, female, all residents of Imus, Cavite.
Aspacio said the suspects are among the major suppliers of shabu in Central Luzon, Metro Manila and nearby towns in Cavite.
The PDEA3 operatives were assisted by the PDEA Special Enforcement Service and PDEA Region IV-A.
“PDEA3 operatives have been monitoring their illegal activities since October 2019, the suspects are very evasive and very cautious in their transaction that is why we sought the help of other PDEA operatives in the national headquarters and PDEA Calabarzon to ensure their arrest”, Aspacio said.
Seized from the suspects are 1.3 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P8,500,000, weighing scale and the boodle money used in the operation.
Confiscated pieces of evidence will be subjected to laboratory examinations by PDEA Laboratory Service.
The suspects are temporarily detained in PDEA3 facility in this city.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied for filing in court.
