FOUR suspected drug personalities were hauled to jail by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in separate buy-bust operations in Cebu City last Wednesday, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino reported yesterday.
He identified the suspects as Julrex Absin, Benjamin Alcordo, Jayson Alistre and Maricar Pilapil Absin and Alcordo were named as members of the Daling Drug Group operating in the city and are both considered as ‘high-value drug targets,’ Aquino said.
Absin and Alistre were arrested while conspiring to sell shabu to an undercover officer of the PDEA Regional Office 7 in Gorordo Avenue, Sitio Arco in Lahug, Cebu City 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Seized from their possession were nine heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some 10 grams of shabu worth P68,000, the marked money and several drug paraphernalia.
Another entrapment operation conducted by the same PDEA unit in Sitio 245 Mahayahay, A. Lopez Street in Bgy. Calamba 7 p.m. Wednesday led in the arrest of Alcoro and Pilapil.
The duo yielded six plastic sachets containing about 30 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ valued at P204,000, P1,700 in different denominations, a cell phone they used in making contact with the poseur and the buy-bust money.
