PDEA men score big in Davao

PHILIPPINE Drug Enforcement Agency operatives scored big in Davao region this week, smashing two drug dens and arresting 10 suspects including four government employees in separate buy-bust operations in the province which led in the seizure of around P500,000 worth of shabu, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino announced yesterday.

The official identified the arrested suspects as Tony Glenn Bansilan, Noel Bartolome, Michael Villaber and Renante Mejorada, all employees of the Davao del Sur Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC), Ruel Gonzaga, Rhian Lim Apole  alias ‘Madam,’ Christopher John Sanchez, Rogelio Alvarez, Mary Jane Mosquera, and Flordiles Lozano.

Aquino said the four PDRRMC employees and Gonzaga were arrested by members of the PDEA Regional Office 11 during an anti-narcotics operation in a beach resort in Purok 5, Barangay Baybay in Malalag municipality past 7 p.m. last Tuesday which led in the recovery of about 15 grams of shabu worth P225,000, several drug paraphernalia and the marked-money paid to them by an undercover officer.

Another sting conducted in an inn along Claro M. Recto Street in Davao City resulted in the arrest of the five other suspects at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday.
