A notorious drug den in Bacolod City in Negros Occidental was smashed by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency following a raid which led in the arrest of two operators of the dive and the recovery of P340,000 worth of shabu and various drug paraphernalia, PDEA chair, Director General Aaron N. Aquino said yesterday.

The official said that a 17-year old male teenager was also rescued during the operation in Purok Tunay, Barangay Bata in Bacolod City which resulted in the arrest of suspected drug den operators Danilo Mallorca Jr. and Rodolfo Funetebella Jr.

The minor has been turned over to the local social worker’s office, Aquino said.

According to the PDEA chief, members of the PDEA Regional Office 6 recovered five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing some 50 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ valued at P340,000, various drug sniffing paraphernalia and the buy-bust money from the suspects’ possession.
