CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Police operatives confiscated some P800,000 worth of shabu in this city and nearby Mexico town over the weekend.
Col. Arnold Trhomas Ibay, Pampanga police director, said the two separate operations also led to the arrest of four suspects, including a 17-year-old male.
In Barangay Bulaon here, policemen arrested Clairem Yalung, Patrick Garcia, and the male minor during a buy-bust.
Seized from the suspects were 13 pieces heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu approximately weighing 62 grams with an estimated street value of P421,600; one P500-bill with 29 pieces boodle money; a black sling bag; two black and white Samsung keypad cellular phone and one weighing scale.
In Bgy. Lagundi, Mexico town, a suspected drug peddler was arrested by authorities in a buy-bust that resulted to the confiscation of P374,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The suspect, identified as Joe Marwan Dayrit, is a resident of Bgy. Tabun, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Seized from Dayrit were five heat sealed plastic transparent sachets containing suspected shabu amounting to more or less P374, 000; one P500 marked bill, black belt bag, cal .38 without serial number with three live ammunition, and a black Mio motorcycle without plate number.
Appropriate charges for violation of Section 5 and 11 of Art. II of RA9165 (buy-bust) and Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition are being readied for filing in court.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Valerian De Leon said that with the constant arrest of illegal drug personalities in the area as well as the commitment of PNP personnel to stop its proliferation, illegal drug traders will have less opportunity to propagate this menace in the society.
