LUBAO, Pampanga – A pregnant woman and her four-year-old daughter on Sunday were found stabbed dead in their house in Bgy. San Roque Dau, this town.
Police said the prime suspect in the gruesome crime was the woman’s 12-year-old nephew.
The young suspect in now in police custody.
Pampanga police director Col. Jean Fajardo identified the victims as KC Montemayor, 25, who was three months pregnant, and her daughter, Chelsie Jade, 4.
The mother and her daughter were found dead and bathing in their own blood in their home around 12:40 p.m. on Sunday.
KC’s husband, a sampaguita vendor, came home from work and was shocked to find his wife and daughter with stab wounds and dead.
Responding policemen recovered at the crime scene a kitchen knife believed to have been used in the fatal attack.
Before the killing, KC had reprimanded and hit the boy on the head with her palm in front of other people, accusing him of stealing money from their house.
Meanwhile, there are moves in Congress to lower the age of criminal liability because of crimes perpetrated by children and their involvement in illegal drugs.
Under Republic Act 9344, persons 15 years and below cannot be held for criminal liability.
In some developed countries like the United Kingdom, 10 is the age when a person can be charged criminally.
