Puerto Princesa buy bust nets P380K shabu

A KNOWN ‘high-value target’ in Mimaropa region is now in jail after he was arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in a buy-bust operation in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan which led in the seizure of an estimated P380,000 worth of shabu on Thursday last week, PDEA chair, Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva said yesterday.

Suspect Aldrin Joya Sena alias ‘Toto,’ a 34-year old driver from Purok Bukang Liwayway in Barangay Mandaragat, Puerto Princesa City was placed under arrest after he sold illegal drugs and took the marked money from an undercover officer of the PDEA Region 4-B shortly after noon last Thursday, the PDEA chair said.

Recovered from the suspect’s possession were a plastic packet containing around 56 grams of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ and the marked money.

The suspect is now facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said Villanueva.
