LUCENA CITY -- Police operatives shot dead another suspected drug pusher who resisted arrest during a drug buy- bust operation at Bgy. Dalahican, here, on Wednesday.
Quezon police director Senior Supt. Ramil Montilla identified the slain suspect as Roger Nuñez, 44, a resident of said village.
Shortly before the shootout, Montilla said a police operative of Lucena City police station under Supt. Reydante Ariza managed to buy 0.3 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect contained in a plastic sachet in exchange for P500 while conducting the operation.
But when the cop was about to arrest the suspect, Montilla said the latter resisted and was able to run inside his house and get a cal. 38 revolver.
He said a shootout took place resulting to the suspect’s bloody death.
Elements of Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office led by Chief Insp. Ruben Apostol, Jr. who conducted the crime scene processing recovered the revolver loaded with 4 live bullets and a fired cartridge case and another 2 plastic sachets containing 0.70 grams of suspected shabu.
Montilla said the accounting of recovered pieces of evidence was witnessed by village official a media representative.
