Pusher shot dead in Laguna encounter

POLICE operatives of the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) shot dead a notorious drug pusher early  Wednesday morning during the anti illegal drug operation in Biñan City, Laguna.

Suspect Heber Jeddy Surio was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital  after sustaining gunshot wounds in the body.

Laguna Provincial Director PCol. Serafin Petalio II said Surio, a resident of Ilaya St. Bgy. San Francisco, is known in drug trade activities in his barangay and nearby towns.

DEU under OIC chief PLt.Col. Danilo Mendoza  revealed that his operative acting as a poseur buyer managed to buy 1 heat sealed plastic sachet   containing suspected shabu in exchange for P1,000.

After the transaction, the suspect sensed he dealt with  the policeman so he pulled his gun and shot the lawman but fortunately missed, causing the back-up security  to immediately return fire and hit the suspect in the body.

Recovered from the slain suspect were seven  HSTPS containing suspected shabu, one  cal 45 Armscor with serial no. 1163794, 1 magazine of cal 45 with 7 live ammunition, 3 empty shells of cal 45, P1,000. bill used as buy-bust money, P1,140 suspected drug money, 1 Fila belt bag, 1 piece of leather coin purse, 1 black wallet containing different IDs and 2 empty shells of cal 9mm.
