SARIAYA, Quezon -- As a result of the Quezon police’s intensified campaign against wanted felons, operatives of the Sariaya Police Station captured the town’s most wanted criminal and the province’s ninth most wanted facing murder and rape charges, respectively.
Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman identified the suspects as Benedicto Eborde, alias Kalabaw, 45, fisherman, of Sitio Taywanak, Bgy. Castañas, and Orlando Limpin, 29, of Bgy. Poblacion 4, this town.
De Guzman said Eborde was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Lucena City Regional Trial Court Branch 56 Judge Dennis Pastrana while the arrest order for Limpin was issued by Judge Robert Victor Marcon of Lucena City Regional Trial Court Branch 54.
Town police commander Supt. Rafael Torres said the successful arrest of the suspects was carried out by his warrant officers, led by SPO4 Roilan Algire, in cooperation with village officials.
Torres said Eborde was charged with murder after he shot to death his victim using a home- made shotgun while the latter was standing on the road shoulder at Bgy. Castañas in 2017.
On the other hand, Torres said Limpin was accused of raping his 14- year-old neighbor in 2016.
Limpin allegedly brought the girl to the house of his grandmother where he raped her.
Barely two weeks ago, Algire’s team arrested Martin Moralida Mabong Jr., alias Toto Moralidad, 23, baker and resident Bgy. Bucal, Sariaya.
Mabong has been charged for the murder of a boy in Tondo, Manila along with three others, aside from being a suspect in a holdup of a rookie cop which happened both sometime in 2015 and ranked number 2 on the list of Manila Police District PS1’s Most Wanted Persons.
