TAYABAS City -- Police operatives on Sunday arrested four drug suspects, including two drug surrenderers, during a pot session in Bgy. Lalo.
Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman identified the nabbed suspects as Crisanto Valdoria, Calatino Jessie Derada, both drug surrendrers in 2017; Antonio Pontioso, and Aaron Clado dela Cruz.
De Guzman said the arrest was carried out by operatives of Tayabas City Police Station under its newly-installed city director, Supt. Mark Joseph Laygo, based on information provided by a concerned citizen regarding an alleged ongoing pot session inside a handicraft store at said village at around 10 p.m.
After confirming the veracity of the report, De Guzman said the operatives swooped down on the store where they caught the suspects in the act of sniffing shabu.
“What the suspects were doing inside the store was visibly seen by the operatives outside, through a hole, prompting them to barge in even without a search warrant which yielded positive results,” said De Guzman.
He said the cops recovered one unsealed transparent plastic sachet containing 0.5 grams of suspected shabu, a strip of aluminum foil with residue of suspected shabu, six rolled aluminum foils used as tooter and two lighters.
Upon frisking, De Guzman said an Armscor cal. .45 pistol with serial number 1410671 with one magazine was found in possession of Pontioso.
The seized pieces of evidence were brought to Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for examination while the suspects were detained at the City Lock-Up Jail.
