PAGBILAO, Quezon -- Police operatives arrested seven drug suspects, including three women, during a drug buy-bust operation inside a hotel in Bgy. Alupaye, here, shortly after midnight on Tuesday.
Quezon police director Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman identified the arrested suspects as Rexon Balingasa, Joseph Puche, 34, Cristy Ann Salamangue, all of Biñan, Laguna; Jonathan Oga, 32, Aidin Guiali, 21, Sarah Alagl, 32, and Reyha Oga, 22, all of Bicutan, Taguig City.
De Guzman said the operation was carried out by operatives of Pagbilao Police Station under its commander, Chief Insp. Francisco Panisan, in cooperation with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Quezon team.
Around 1 a.m., De Guzman said a policeman and a confidential informant acting as poseur buyers led the buy-bust operation using 14 marked P500 bills and 21 pieces of P1,000 bills inside the Palayisdaan Hotel.
Panisan said while transacting inside the hotel, Balingasa went outside and proceeded to a parked Hyundai Tucson where he got a large transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
“He (Balingasa) then handed it to Puche and the latter handed it to the poseur buyers. In return, the marked money was handed by the duo to Guiali,” said Panisan.
Panisan said it was at that point that the three suspects were collared by the policemen while the four other suspects, who at the time were holding pot session, were also arrested.
Upon search inside the room, Panisan said his men was able to find and seize three transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, another small transparent plastic sachet containing shabu residue, one roll of foil, one plastic canester, two disposable lighters-ALB-3, an improvised tooter (glass), a small plastic canister, a foil with shabu residue, 14 open small plastic sachets, another small plastic transparent sachet with shabu residue-ALB-12, three small straw with shabu residue, a scissors, one Aurii cellphone, a keypad Samsung cellphone-ALB-29, an OPPO cellphone, one ASUS cellphone, one OPPO cellphone, a foil strip, an improvised burner, a weighing scale and the marked money.
Panisan said the confiscated suspected shabu has an estimated weight of 101.74 grams with DDB value of P188,219.
The suspects were detained at Pagbilao Municipal Lock-Up Jail and were charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
