Quezon records 5 new COVID-19 cases

LUCENA CITY--- Five confirmed coronavirus desease (CIVID-19) cases were recorded in Quezon province bringing the total number of infected carriers to 160.

In its 8 a.m. bulletin, the Quezon Public Information Office (QPIO) announced that three of the new cases are from this city while the other two cases are from Atimonan and Macalelon.

The QPIO did not provide other details but it was learned from other sources that the three patients from this city all work in hospitals.

Prior to this, the city was declared zero-COVID after the remaining three out of 66 confirmed cases were finally cleared by the City Health Office.

But City Mayor Roderick Alcala said the city government is well prepared always ready to fight the virus.

"We have made it twice, hopefully we can make it again", said Alcala.

Quezon province currently has 160 confirmed cases with 127 recoveries, 11 deaths and 22 admitted in the hospitals.
